NATIONAL COMPETITIONS
"Teach Me to Hear Mermaids Singing" was one of 50 finalists in the 2006 Husqvarna Viking competition “MasterPieces: Imagine That!” It was exhibited at the International Quilt Market and Festival in Houston in fall 2006 and will tour the world through early 2009. “Gossamer” won third place at the 2006 Art of the Quilt contest sponsored by Bernina and Quilting Arts magazine. It was exhibited at the American Sewing Expo in September-October 2006. For more information about “Gossamer,” click here.

LOCAL & REGIONAL COMPETITIONS
“Harbinger’s Hope” won Best of Show – Large Quilt, and Best Use of Color at the 2008 Charlotte Quilters Guild show in April 2008; Best of Show and Best Amateur Machine Quilting at the 2007 Lake Norman Quilters’ show; and a third place ribbon in the “Other Techniques” category at the 2007 Asheville Quilt Show. “Sunrise, Sunset” won Best of Show – Bed Quilt at the 2006 Charlotte Quilter's Guild show in April 2006. This quilt is based on her “Celestial” pattern. For more information about “Sunrise, Sunset,” click here.

2009 Quilting Arts Calendar
“Home Planet” graces the month of April in the 2009 Quilting Arts Calendar. The calendar will be available for purchase through Quilting Arts in
late 2008. I’ll post a photo of “Home Planet” in the gallery section of my website once the calendar is released.

“Harbinger’s Hope” was awarded an honorable ribbon in the “Innovative” category at the Pennsylvania National Quilt Extravaganza XIV held
