This piece is based on a photograph of a coleus leaf I took at the North Carolina Botanical Garden in Asheville, NC.
I made this piece for Episode 513 of Quilting Arts TV. It is scheduled to air in early 2010.
“Coleus” was juried into the Studio Art Quilt Associates’ exhitbition “SAQA Frontiers: Art Meets Science,” which will debut at the Festival of Quilts in Birmingham, England, August 19-22, 2010. “Lepidoptera” was also juried into this exhbition.
